Reading List
The reading list below contains books and articles I have recently completed or that I am currently reading; I can never read one book, cover-to-cover, at a time. Some are better than others, you be the judge. In some way all of them are helping me to take the advice given to us by our friend Father Frascadore as quoted here.
Within each category the list is in alphabetical order with no consideration given to MLA or APA formatting.

"How do I become a disciple of Jesus today? The same way people became disciples when they first heard Jesus in the streets of Jerusalem. They first believed in his words and then went from there. Belief is the beginning of discipleship, but it is only the beginning. Once we hear the words of Jesus, we want to know more about him and hear what he has to say about the meaning of life. The desire to learn more about Jesus grows stronger with each passing day, for there has never been a historical figure more fascinating than Jesus, as library shelves testify. In every age, scripture scholars, historians and theologians have given us deeper insights into the life and times of Jesus, stimulating our imaginations and piquing our curiosity to study his life in greater detail. While we desire to learn more about Jesus, we also feel a yearning to listen to what he has to say to us in prayer, aware that the word of the Lord comes to us both in the quiet moments of our lives and in the ordinary events that fill our days. This word has the power to change our lives, as it changed the lives of the blind and the lame. But true disciples don't stop with learning and listening; they go on in their search for truth, hoping to penetrate the mysteries that Jesus reveals in his preaching and life experiences. The words and deeds of Jesus, when heard and seen in faith, increase our understanding of the marvelous inter-dependency of men and women throughout the world, and the magnificence of the ever- expanding universe. And finally, we are led to obedience, the ultimate act of discipleship. This, after all, is what the Lord Jesus desires: to lead us to the Father so that we may thereby discover what God wishes us to do".
